The size of the sofa should be chosen based on the space of your living room—neither too large nor too small. Too large will take up too much space, affecting the openness and functionality of the living room; too small will make the living room feel empty and lack coziness.

Generally, it is appropriate for the sofa to take up about 1/4 of the living room area. If you have an interior designer, you can follow their recommendations; if not, you can refer to the following formula:

Background wall: Sofa size = 4:3

This formula means that if your background wall is 4 meters long, your sofa should be about 3 meters long. Of course, this formula is just a reference; the specifics should be adjusted based on the shape and layout of your living room.

In addition to the length of the sofa, pay attention to the following two dimensions:

Seat depth: For households with people over 1.7 meters tall, choose a depth of 105 cm; for those without anyone over 1.7 meters, 95 cm is the most comfortable.

Seat height: Ensure that when sitting on the sofa, your knees and hips are in a straight line. This varies by height, generally between 40-45 cm.
